The library garden is taking shape, photos show work in progress clearing the borders of weeds (especially horsetail fern). school children from Partington Central school planted some bulbs and we had a glorious display of tulips. Nursery children have been nurturing seeds and have now planted their seedlings in the borders and we are looking forward to seeing a colourful display in the coming months.
Our hardy volunteers with the help of the National Trust Dunham rangers have been hard at work demolishing the old raised beds ready to create a new veg bed and have already planted some spring onions and garlic in the tubs.
If you would like to get involved, the group meets on a Tuesday morning 10-12, alternatively telephone Sue on 0161 775 1912 for more information
