Bluesci 1-2-1 Support
Bluesci support people through the 5 Ways to Wellbeing: Connect; Be Active; Take Notice; Give; and Learn. These five aspects of life are encouraged through the activities and services running at the Wellbeing Centre.

Additionally Bluesci offer individual support for people who may be experiencing emotional or psychological distress in their lives. We offer support to help you find ways of building your confidence and to improve and maintain your wellbeing.

Foodbank Vouchers

Staff and volunteers here at Partington LWC can issue foodbank vouchers, which can be taken to local foodbanks and be exchanged for a parcel containing a minimum of three days’ nutritionally balanced food.

Foodbank vouchers are issued with appropriate discretion and staff and volunteers can discuss further support available.

Vouchers can be issued at any time during normal opening hours (9-5, Mon-Fri) Contact Sue on 0161 775 1912

Monday 9.30am-12.00pm Sewing Group (craft sewing) Facilitator Patricia no experience needed limited number of sewing machines but you are welcome to bring your own if you have one.
Monday 10.00pm-1.00pm Learn My Way Computer Sessions with Ronnie support for anyone who would like to learn basic computer skills setting up email writing CV's surfing the net. Work at your own pace with a recognised programme. Just Drop in. For more information ring: 0161 775 1912
Monday 12.30pm-4pm Sewing Group (dressmaking) Facilitator Jackie All abilities learn how to use patterns and sew garments.
Monday 12.30pm onwards Knit and Natter all abilities from beginners to expert welcome
Tuesday 10.00 -12.00 noon Partington Library Garden Group National Trust are looking for volunteers to help transform the Partington Library & Wellbeing Centre Garden. If you love being outdoors want to make friends and learn new skills come and join us! A National Trust gardener  from Dunham Massey will lead the session every week. Tuesday 1.00pm-3.00pm Get Connected Computer and Work Club – Careers guidance training job search1-1 support for anyone who would like to get back into work writing CV's Job search. Also offering people direct access to supportive professionals from services such as: DWP Housing Debt Management Health and Employment Drop in to room 3 1st floor
Thursday 10.00-12.00pm Womens Arts and Crafts Group various activities no experience needed
Thursday 12.30pm -3.00pm Pride of Partington Womens Group The group provides a safe space for all women to come along and talk about the issues that impact on their daily lives. They will gain support  from others to be empowered and become self-reliant and resilient.  support services drop in to share information about who they are training courses and how they may be able to help you your family and your community. For more information telephone 0161 775 1912

TBC 11:00am – 1:00pm Basic Woodworking with Mark. Come and learn how to make planters and bird boxes to enhance your garden. Tools supplied. Free session

Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust’s Recovery Academy provides a range of free educational courses and resources co-written and co-delivered by both professionals and people who themselves have experienced mental health or substance misuse problems. All the courses focus on supporting people with their recovery and promote good health and wellbeing.

Who can attend?

  • Anyone who is experiencing mental health or substance misuse problems including their supporters (family, friends and loved ones)
  • GMMH staff, volunteers, students on placement and health care professionals
